Your Quidco account may sometimes be blocked. This can happen for security, compliance or policy reasons. In most cases, you can unblock your account by following the steps explained below.
Reasons your account may be blocked
Duplicate accounts
Only one account is allowed per member.
Duplicate accounts will be blocked.
You will be asked to choose which account to keep.
Suspicious or unusual activity
Unusual logins or payment issues can trigger a block.
You may need to confirm your identity (for example, the last four digits of your bank account).
Remove any suspicious details linked to your account.
Compliance checks
Accounts can be paused while we check purchases against our terms.
You may be asked to send proof of purchase or a valid ID.
Irrelevant details can be redacted.
Once checks are complete, your account will usually be unblocked.
Policy breaches (for example, self-referrals)
If you break our terms, such as referring yourself, bonuses or transactions may be reversed.
Some breaches may result in a permanent suspension.
Incomplete security steps
Missing verification steps can lead to a block.
You may be asked to send a photo ID (driving licence or passport).
The ID must match the name on your account.
How to unblock your account
Check the reason - Read the message we sent you about the block.
Complete the steps - For example, choose one account, provide ID, or send documents.
Wait for review - Once submitted, it can take up to 24 hours for your account to be restored.
Resolve any violations - If terms were broken, we may need to reverse transactions. Serious breaches may result in a permanent block.
When accounts cannot be unblocked
Some accounts remain permanently closed. This usually happens if:
False or unauthorised details were used.
Referral bonuses or promotions were exploited.
Transactions broke Quidco’s terms of service.
If this happens, your account cannot be reactivated.
Summary
Most account blocks are temporary. You can usually resolve them by verifying your details or completing the requested steps. We aim to restore access quickly and securely.
Some serious breaches mean an account will stay permanently closed.
