Cashback Statuses: What Do They Mean?

Learn more about what your cashback status means

Updated over a year ago

When you shop through Quidco, you earn cashback on your purchases. But the process of earning cashback can be complicated, and it's not always clear what's happening behind the scenes. That's why we've put together this guide to help you understand the different cashback statuses you may see in your account.

Tracked

When you make a purchase through Quidco, we track your transaction to make sure you receive your cashback. The "Tracked" status means that we have recorded your purchase, and it's in the process of being verified by the retailer. This status usually appear on your Activity Page within a few hours of making your purchase.

Returns & Cancellation

The "Returns & Cancellation" status means that we're waiting for the retailer's returns policy to end and ensure that there have been no cancellations for your purchase. During this stage, the cashback for that purchase is put on hold until the retailer confirms whether the transaction was completed or not. This status can take a few weeks to resolve, depending on the retailer's policies.

Retailer decision

After the Returns & Cancellation status is resolved, the retailer makes a decision on whether your purchase is eligible for cashback or not. This can take up to several months, depending on the retailer. If the retailer approves your purchase, the status on your Activity Page will change to "Confirmed". If the retailer denies your purchase, the status will change to "Declined".

Confirmed

The "Confirmed" status means that the retailer has approved your purchase and you're eligible for cashback. The retailer has marked your cashback as to-be-paid, and we are awaiting that payment.

Paid

The "Paid" status means that the cashback for your purchase has been paid out to your Quidco account. This status appears after the payment process is complete, which can take a few days.

Declined

If the retailer denies your purchase for cashback, the status will change to "Declined". This means that you're not eligible for cashback on that purchase. The reasons for declined cashback can vary but usually involve not following the retailer's terms and conditions or cancelling the purchase. You'll be able to find out why your cashback may have been declined here.

In some cases it's possible to challenge the declined cashback with the retailer by raising a claim here.

We hope this guide helps you understand the different cashback statuses you may encounter while using Quidco. If you have any questions or concerns about your cashback, please contact our customer support team, and they'll be happy to help you out.
